Swiss Motorsport watch Co.
At The Swiss motorsport Watch Co. We work very hard to supply only high quality genuine Swiss watches. In a world of Fakes, replicas and super clones this is getting increasingly challenging. We start by carefully sourcing our stock and then subjecting our watches to a series of tests & examinations. We guarantee all of our pre loved watches have been subject to our multistage verification process.
Because It is virtually unheard of for counterfeit watches to have Sapphire crystals, It makes the testing for Sapphire or synthetic Sapphire an excellent indicator of authenticity. Sapphire and synthetic Sapphire both conduct heat far more readily than mineral glass. For this test we use the Omicron Diamond tester.
All mechanical watch movements aka (calibres) have a signature frequency, This is expressed as BPH (beats per hour) It is extremely useful to confirm that a watches frequency matches the manufacture's original specifications. For example: A genuine Tag Heuer Carrera calibre 7 automatic movement should have a frequency of 28'800 BPH.
Watch movements or Calibres are literally the heart of the watch. Most watches will run and appear to work normally with a whole range of movements, whether they be cheap & Chinese or expensive & Swiss. The only safe way to identify whether a watch has the correct and original movement is to remove the back and take a look. Anything else is just "best guess!" The movement shown is the Swiss Ronda 5040-D found in many Tag Heuer sports watches.
Tag Heuer have a complex model id coding system. Usually 7 characters of numbers and letters. Each character describes a particular characteristic of the watch. Each watch has a unique serial number. We check the serial number on the Tag Heuer data base to check the results return the correct model code on the watch and that it correctly describes it's characteristics.
Contemporary high end sports watches will always have quality luminescence. Most fakes with the exception of the modern super clones will fail in this department, though not definitive on its own, when accompanied by other positive outcomes, good luminescence is a good indicator of authenticity.
Luxury and premium brand watches, in most cases weigh considerably more than their replica counterparts. This is because counterfeiters tend to use cheaper inferior materials in their watches.
Simple but thorough visual inspections can tell an experienced eye a lot about a watch. Details such as the font used on the face, the slightly different shade of a logo or even the length of the fingers can be subtle clues that all may not be quite as it seems. Visual inspections are always invaluable when making an assessment of authenticity.

Only after our verification process is a watch issued with a guarantee card from The Swiss motorsport watch Co.
It must be recognised that not all genuine watches make their way onto their respective makers data base. Also the modern "Super Clone" often has a Sapphire crystal and in some cases actually use the original calibre for their replica watches. At the Swiss motorsport watch Co. We take our legal due diligence very seriously and do our utmost to weed out any fakery. However in todays world of super fakes, genuine errors may in some rare circumstances be made,
* While no single test or examination can be definitive, the more positive outcomes we get the greater the chance of a correct assessment.
